Mexican law school to offer students Cambridge's legal English certificate

12 March 2009

From 2009, the Law School of Instituto Tecnológico Y De Estudios Superiores De Monterrey - Campus Estado De México is to include Cambridge ESOL's International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) as part of their English for Lawyers courses.

This move by the prestigious Mexican university is part of a wider aim to help students graduate with a competitive advantage in the work place by validating their English language skills.

ILEC is a high level language qualification for lawyers aimed at those wanting to develop their English language skills in a legal environment. It is fully aligned to Levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) - an internationally recognised benchmark of language ability.
