Boston University School of Law recognises Cambridge’s legal English certificate
16 April 2009
Law students applying to study for Masters of Law degrees (LL.M. programs) at Boston University School of Law can now use Cambridge’s International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) as proof of English language ability.
Cambridge ESOL – a department of Cambridge University – created this high-level professional English language qualification specifically for the legal market. It helps students improve their English language ability in a legal context by using real-life topics such as corporate, sale of goods, intellectual property and employment law. This helps to make ILEC an ideal assessment tool to help universities recruit legal students with the right level of language ability.
Created in co-operation with Translegal, Europe’s leading firm of lawyer linguists, the test accurately assesses English language ability at Levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
