Universitat de Girona renews ties with Cambridge ESOL

4 July 2008

A new agreement between Cambridge ESOL and one of Catalonia's leading universities is the latest stage in a partnership that has seen over 12,000 candidates taking Cambridge ESOL examinations through the university. Ann M. Geli, rector of the Universitat de Girona signed a memorandum of understanding with Desmond Nicholson, Cambridge ESOL's manager for Spain on 2 July. Desmond Nicholson praised the university's commitment to making the exams available to English learners in Girona, and the dedication of its staff to maintaining the highest standards in the administration of the exams.

Universitat de Girona enters more candidates for the Cambridge ESOL exams than any other public university in the Iberian peninsula, and is rapidly increasing the range of examinations it offers both to its own students and as an open centre.
