Instituto Cultural Anglo Uruguayo celebrates 60 years as a Cambridge exam centre providing English language opportunities in Uruguay
Cambridge ESOL and Instituto Cultural Anglo Uruguayo (Anglo) today celebrate their 60th anniversary of working together. Every year Anglo and its network provides thousands of Uruguayans with an internationally recognised English qualification that can open up career and educational opportunities.
Anglo has been a Cambridge ESOL centre since 1948 and today offers a full range of English tests.
Christine Nuttall, Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations at Cambridge ESOL welcomed this celebration:
“Building on sixty years’ of collaboration, we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Instituto Cultural Anglo Uruguayo to ensure we offer the very best English language opportunities in Uruguay.”
In line with Cambridge ESOL’s commitment to supporting students and candidates, Anglo offer a range of extra support through channels such as teacher seminars, pre-testing and the distribution of a news bulletin. Looking forward, Anglo plan to extend access to the exams in the provinces. The last two years has seen exams being administered in Artigas, Mercedes, Minas, Paysandú, Punta del Este, Rivera, Salto and Young in addition to Montevideo.
