The Social and Educational Impact of Language Assessment

A major multilingual event open to all academics and professionals with an interest in language assessment and associated issues.

The Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) is holding its 3rd International Conference at the University of Cambridge, hosted by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. ALTE Cambridge 2008 represents a unique opportunity to take part in an interchange of ideas, to meet with other experts in the world of language assessment and applied linguistics: to learn, to share and to develop our knowledge on educational, social, cultural and economic environments and contexts.

Huge response to Call for Papers

ALTE has received well over 200 proposals for papers at ALTE Cambridge 2008, with submissions from some 189 institutions in more than 53 countries.

A selection of accepted papers will be announced in December. Details of the Forum on Language Testing, Migration & Social Inclusion will be announced in January 2008.
